Part 1. We need to set up our bi-weekly meeting. We will use these times to discuss progress, check in on your “homework,” strategize, practice pitching etc… We’ll do exactly what YOU need to make this a success.
So, when works for you? Please suggest a couple times so we can get things ironed out and get to work crushing it :)
I’ll send you another email tomorrow with more details and resources (to avoid overwhelming you now).
Part 2. Before our 1st meeting, can you please make a copy and fill out this accelerator onboarding questionaire so we can hit the ground running.
Part 3. It's time to plug into our Slack community. It's the same as our one for climate tech founders but has special private channels for our accelerator members and advisors/mentors. Create an account here if you haven't already and DM so I can add to you the #accelerator-help and #accelerator-updates channels.
NOTE: With the #accelerator-updates channel, the idea is for you to post monthly updates on progress in the business. You should be doing this/making these already for your investor update emails and can copy/paste those into the channel to give everyone an idea on the status of the business and anything they help with.
Speaking of, if you have a specific ask for the accelerator community, for instance, "We're looking to meet folks in the food and CPG space for potential pilots" or "We need help hiring a CFO, VP of Sales etc..." then post this in the #accelerator-help channel and between myself, my network and our advisors, we'll do our best to get you sorted out ASAP :)
Part 4. As part of 4WARD.VC's accelerator network, the goal is to create as much collaboration, partnership and help intros/karma as possible. To do that, please fill out your information in this form here (and here is access to the network database) to help others find and help you and create synergies.
Part 5. I recommend connecting with ALL the mentors on Linkedin this week (cause next week you'll need your LI connects for reaching out to corporates) so you can access their networks and ask for intros. Go through the network spreadsheet and Connect with 30/day (to not get in trouble with LI).
Pro Tip. Post your Linkedin profile in your Slack intro message and ask mentors to connect with you so you don't need to manually do it as much yourself.
